Our team is not big but highly motivated. The Centre is guided by Dr. Melina Vassiliou MD, M.Ed., FRSC,  a brilliant Assistant Professor of Surgery and the Associate Director of the McGill Medical Simulation Centre. Dr.Vassiliou has very bright ideas on how to implement innovative techniques into surgical education. She is a very driving force who inspires everybody with entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. The coordinator of the Centre who you will meet in the deK anytime you come - is Ekaterina Lebedeva, MLIS. She is always there to assist you with any researches, to help with software usage, to provide with all available services in the deK. Whenever you need a consultation on using research databases, finding videos that meet your requirements, choosing the right app for your project, or booking time slot for your online meeting or organizing video conference, Ekaterina will be happy to assist you in the deK.

We are very appreciative of the support of MGH Multimedia department, precisely John Labelle who helps us with digitizing and video editing workshops, and Ildiko Hovarth, talented illustrator who helps us to materialize our ideas. 

A lot of events and projects become possible in our Centre due to the help of volunteers: Ryan Hartley, who is a very helpful in managing budget, organizing events and digitization project; Larysa Prokhorova, Records Manager and Archivist, who works with classification and storage of VHS and DVD.

But the core of our Centre is users (mainly MGH surgery students, fellows, and residents) who make it thriving, busy and forward-going. They help us identify the user needs and expectations, develop and upgrade the range of our services. We will carefully keep track of each long-time user on this web site.
